Cards of Faith is a veteran-centered nonprofit dedicated to reminding those who served that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.
Through cards, conversations, faith, and community resources, we bring encouragement and support that makes a lasting impact.
Veterans make up only about 5% of U.S. adults, yet millions continue to face challenges long after their military service ends.
17.5 veterans die by suicide every day — 6,398 veterans lost their lives to suicide in 2023 alone.
61% of veterans who died by suicide in 2023 had not received VA health care in the year before their death.
Only about half of all veterans used any VA benefit or service in FY2023, meaning millions of veterans were not connected to VA services that year.
Nearly half (48%) of post - 9/11 veterans say adjusting back to civilian life was difficult.
Among veterans who experienced service-related trauma, 53% reported difficulty readjusting to civilian life.
Two-thirds (66%) of veterans who reported post-traumatic stress said their transition back into civilian life was difficult.
32,495 veterans experienced homelessness on a single night in January 2025, including more than 13,500 who were unsheltered.
Lack of social support is recognized by the VA as a risk factor for veteran homelessness, reinforcing why community connection and companionship matter.
Cards of Faith is committed to:
Creating and Distributing Care Cards
-Over 200 care cards are ready to be distributed to food banks. -Collaboration with nonprofits to expand reach and impact.
Raising Funds
-Printing and distributing cards.
-Enhancing care cards with gift cards for future impact.
Spreading Awareness
-Leveraging news and social media platforms.
-Partnering with organizations such as Faith Lutheran's "Charity of the Month."
